Background info: I based the character's first costume, at the background, on Pantha's version for the Teen Titans cartoon, mixed with Wolverine first costume (the one with whiskers). The Wild Calw–Steel Star relationship, besides the obvious reference to Pantha–Red Star canon relationship, is also a nod to the Ultimate X-Men, where Colossus' counterpart had an one-sided crush on Wolverine.

History: Born in Canada, having Spanish ancestry, Rosabelle "Rose" Howlett discovered her bone claws in a tragic way, accidentally killing her biological father. She ran away into the woods, then she went to Mexico– due to her ancestry, she spoke Spanish fluently– and began a carrer as a luchadora, under the alias Garra Salvaje (Wild Claw, in Spanish). Some years later she was kidnapped by the Weapon X project, and subjected to an experiment that gave her feline enhanced senses and covered her skeleton and claws with adamantium. She was called "Weapon X-24", as she was the 24th subject of the project (and the first to survive the procedure). She escaped and was found by Steve MacDonald Dayton, a.k.a. Vindicamento [Mento/Steve Dayton + Vindicator/James Hudson], and his wife Heather Farr [Rita Farr + Heather Hudson], getting romantically involved with both of them. She became a founding member of Alpha Patrol [Doom Patrol + Alpha Flight].
She left the Patrol– and the threesome with Steve and Heather– when she thought that Vindicamento was the man behind the Weapon X-24 Project (he was not; later she discovered the real masterminds were Prof. Thorton Moon [Prof. Moon + Prof. Andre Thorton] and Anthony Romulus [Anthony Lupus/Anthony Romulus (DCAU) + Romulus]). In USA, she joined the X-Titans [Teen Titans + X-Men] after she helped the team to defeat the brutish villain Cain Sledge a.k.a. Stampede [Wildebeest (Society), Sledge + Juggernaut/Cain Marko]. One of her main enemies is Barbara Creed a.k.a. Lady Tiger [Cheetah/Barbara Minerva + Sabretooth/Victor Creed], who is also a foe of Amazon Wonder [Wonder Woman + She-Hulk].
Currently, she has a relationship with her teammate Leonid Rasputin/Steel Star [Red Star/Leonid Kovar + Colossus/Piotr Rasputin], with whom she developed a tactical move called Fastball Special. Together, they work as parental figures to Rose's clone Laura Wilde/X-Beast [(Baby) Wildebeest + X-23/Laura Kinney].
